Mission

The Thelma Gaylord Academy offers an integrated learning program that builds a musical theatre technique from the ground up. Whether working with beginners or those with previous musical theatre experience, the Academy staff guarantees that the students will not only learn more about musical theatre performance than ever before, but they will have a great time doing it!

The Thelma Gaylord Academy is committed to providing a safe, fun, and educational environment focused on cultivating the young musical theatre performers of tomorrow, as well as creating a love for theatre in all students which will last their entire lives.

History

Since its founding in 2001, the Thelma Gaylord Academy has focused on providing the highest quality musical theater learning experiences available. Founding Directors Chris and Cyndi Harrod began producing shows with the Academy students in the Spring of 2002. 

Lyric Theatre's Thelma Gaylord Academy remains committed to providing a solid foundation for those wanting early training in Musical Theatre while at the same time offering life-enriching experiences to those for whom theatre is simply a passion.
