Policies and Procedures

Attendance

Roll is taken at each class and regular attendance is necessary to maintain skill. If your child cannot attend class, please inform us as far in advance as possible by calling 524-9310. Students rely on each other for continuity, especially where scene work is involved.

Pre-requisite Classes

New students must take Introduction to Musical Theatre to be eligible for Musical Theatre Production classes.

Any student who wishes to enroll in Intermediate Theatre Dance must also be enrolled in a ballet class- either at Lyric or at another studio- to be eligible for admittance.

Scholarships

Lyric offers scholarships for all offered classes. To apply for a scholarship, each student must fill out a scholarship application form and supply a copy of the previous year's tax return, a letter stating the need for the scholarship, and two letters of recommendation. These letters can be from a counselor, principal, private teacher or school teacher who interacts with the student in any related activities (i.e. drama class, voice, dance, etc.) Scholarship students from the previous semester must reapply every semester. To obtain an application or inquire about criteria, please call 524-9310.

Work Study

The work study program includes assistance with the upkeep of the Production Center facility where classes are held. Work Study students will receive 20% off tuition cost. To apply for this program, please call 524-9310.
