Beginning Ballet
Students will be introduced to the fundamental exercises, techniques, and steps of classical ballet. Basic ballet terminology, correct body alignment, and simple adagio and allegro combinations are introduced in barre and center work.
Section 1 (ages 8-12): Tuesdays, 4:00-5:00pm $180
Section 2 (ages 13-18): Mondays, 4:30-6:00pm $225
Intermediate Ballet
Further study of classical ballet as taught in Beginning Ballet. Emphasis will be placed on developing an aesthetic awareness of the art, understanding ballet terminology and perfecting technique. Students will review basic exercises and terminology.
Section 1 (ages 8-12): Thursdays, 5:00-6:00pm $180
Section 2 (ages 13-18): Mondays, 4:30-6:00pm $225
Beginning Theatre Dance
Students will learn the basic steps of theatre movement and how to learn combinations quickly.
Section 1 (ages 8-12): Tuesdays, 5:00-6:00pm $180
Section 2 (ages 13-18): Wednesdays, 6:30-8:00pm $225
Intermediate Theatre Dance
Students will build upon the techniques taught in Beginning Theatre Dance with an increased difficulty of choreography and focus on how movement is used to tell a story in the musical theatre genre. Any student who wishes to enroll in Intermediate Theatre Dance must also be enrolled in a ballet class-either here at Lyric or at another studio.

Beginning Tap
Students will be introduced to the fundamentals and traditional steps of tap dance with an emphasis on proper technique. This will include such skills as dexterity of the feet, basic weight shift, balance, placement and turning.
Section 1 (ages 8-12): Tuesdays, 6:15-7:15pm $180
Section 2 (ages 13-18): Wednesdays, 4:30-5:30pm $180
Intermediate Tap
Students will expand upon the basic steps taught in Beginning Tap by combining skills and increasing tempo of execution. Continued emphasis will be placed on proper technique, coordination, and clean rhythmic sounds.

Section 2 (ages 13-18): Wednesdays, 5:30-6:30pm $180
Advanced Tap
Students will be introduced to additional skills and focus on changing the rhythm of the mastered skills, as well as clarity of sound, assimilation, speed, and proficiency of skills learned thus far. Students will focus on style and performance.
